SADLY, Lance's parents and friends in his hometown of Island Park on Long Island, were not as fortunat
e in the Hurricane Sandy aftermath. Island Park, like so many other small seaside towns along the water, has been decimated. ?The town lost practically everything and still have no power, gas, heat, spotty cell service, or running water. Few resources are getting to them and the media had not been covering it until yesterday (segment below). We are all so heartbroken.
News 12 Long Island:?
Island Park residents frustrated with Sandy aftermath A childhood friend, Cara Spoto-Endriss, has truly done something special. ?She created the Island Park Disaster Relief Fund - a donation fund where each handpicked family that has lost everything in the town of Island Park will receive a $1,000. ?This money is going directly into the hands of families of people that I know from growing up and that I went to school with. ?The fund has received $10K already which will be a tremendous boost for 10 families. ?The goal is to raise another $10K to assist 10 more families that have already been selected. ?If you are considering making a donation for disaster relief, please consider making a small donation to the? Thanks. ?We are truly grateful.
