This is taken in it?s?entirety from Outshined Nutrition. I tried one of Daina?s smoothies and liked it so I have added one (usually two) to my day. I had cut?preservatives, grains and sugar out and my energy and digestion were?shaky?at best for the first few days. The?shakes?helped in a few big ways;
1)?neutralize??hunger? signals while blood sugar was stabilizing
2) increases overall energy
3) improved digestion and simply made me feel ?better?
4) added 6-8 cups of spinach to my diet daily which is never a bad thing.
Remember..they look gross but taste good and your body will thank?you!

?For those of you that have been working with me, you know that I am a HUGE proponent of green smoothies. You heard it right? a smoothie? that?s green! It?s an easy way to get nearly all of your daily servings of fruits AND vegetables in one shot, and it aids digestion. If your digestion has been sluggish, then a green smoothie each morning may be your solution.
?
We all know how important fiber intake is, and how both soluble and insoluble fiber helps a body out. The stringy parts and skins of fruits and vegetables are classified as insoluble fiber, which doesn?t completely break down in the intestines. This fiber passes through the body mostly intact and causes ?intestinal hurry?? you can imagine what that means.

So, back to the green smoothie. I have a great ?beginner? recipe that is not only palatable, but quite tasty.
?
Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas, 2 large handfuls of spinach, 1/2 cup mixed berries (frozen are great), water. Mix it all up in a blender and enjoy!

Of course, you can get creative and experiment with different types of greens, fruits and vegetables. Protein powders and almond/coconut milks can be added as well. My advice: start simple and sip slowly. Try one each morning and see how you feel! You may notice more energy, clearer skin ? and I can just about GUARANTEE improved digestion!
